"There are so many coaches, consultants, and business owners out there. How can I ever stand out?" I hear this question constantly, and I get it. When the market feels crowded, it's easy to think, "What could I possibly say that hasn't already been said?" But there's always something that hasn't been fully addressed. Something that needs to be said...and your unique perspective is the key to finding it. Instead of asking "How can I stand out?" try this: "What's not being said in my industry that people need to hear?" That's where true differentiation lies. It's not about reinventing the wheel or creating an entirely new business model (because let's be honest, most concepts are remixed versions of something that's already out there). The real magic? It happens when you address the gaps - those things your ideal clients wish someone would talk about, but nobody is bringing it up. When I started helping corporate professionals transition into entrepreneurship, I noticed something interesting. There were a ton of resources on how to launch a business. You could Google the steps or buy a course for the roadmap. But what wasn't being talked about? The emotional and practical hurdles people face when leaving the security of a corporate job to build something on their own:
I saw this gap and built my entire coaching approach around these emotional and practical realities. That's what made my work different, and more importantly, valuable to my clients. Now you're probably thinking, “That’s great, but how do I find what’s not being said in my own space?” Ask yourself these questions:
The goal isn’t to create something brand new out of thin air. It’s about seeing what’s already there and identifying where the conversation falls short. When you find those gaps and fill them, that’s when your business will resonate on a whole new level. Here's how I'm addressing the unspoken gaps in my industry: 💡 Most programs teach you the logistics of launching a business. What's not being said is how to navigate the emotional rollercoaster of leaving a stable job for the unknowns of entrepreneurship. 💡 Most content out there on productivity is about hustle and maximizing output. What's not being said is how to build a business that prioritizes rest and mental well-being. 💡 Most coaches teach you how to scale. What's not being said is that not everyone wants to run a massive company. Some of us want cozy, minimalist businesses that align with our desired lifestyle. So, what needs to be said in your industry? It's easy to feel like everything has already been said, but your perspective matters more than you realize. Take a moment to reflect:
That's where your magic lies. That's what makes them say, "You get me better than anyone else." That’s how you stand out. That’s how you build something people need. Lydia Whenever you're ready, here are 3 ways to work with me:

My monthly newsletter sent at the end of every month, to stay connected and inspire reflection for creating meaningful work and a purpose-driven business. Hi Reader, I've just landed back in Bali after spending the entire month of February on a workcation in Vietnam, and wow - what a month it's been! Switching up my usual surroundings and working from cafes in Hanoi and Saigon has been exactly the kind of refresh I needed. One of the month's highlights was surprising my partner for his...
Hi friends, In 2024, I chose a different path while the online business world kept shouting "scale bigger!". I embraced doing less but better. I celebrated "enough" over endless growth. And you know what? The results were anything but small. This year, I supported dozens of accomplished professionals who traded burnout for freedom by building tiny-but-mighty businesses. I saw corporate escapees find more joy (and often more profit!) by choosing simplicity over complexity. And personally? I...
The business world bombards us with constant pressure to think bigger, move faster, scale higher - as if building an empire is the only path to success. But who decided that was the only way? Can I share something vulnerable with you? In 2015, I had my highest revenue year ever in my business. Sounds great, right? But the truth? I was burned out, exhausted, and questioning everything. Sure, I looked successful on paper, but I felt empty inside. The business had grown, the team was bigger, but...
