My end-of-month newsletter. A peek into my life and business, plus a few things to help you build work that still fits who you’ve become. How has your October been? My partner, Trav, and I celebrated our anniversary this month. 💕 We’ve both been so busy lately, him launching a new business and me making some big shifts in mine, so it felt really special to slow down and celebrate us. We had a private Japanese omakase dinner with an awesome chef, and it turned into this lovely night of looking back at our relationship and how much we’ve grown together. Then Trav surprised me with a couple’s screen printing class as our anniversary gift! I’d never done screen printing before so it was a super fun art experiment together. He took a photo of us from one of our happiest memories, a trip to the Gili Islands, and turned it into such a cool design. Then we screen printed it together in the workshop. I was covered in paint by the end of it, but so worth it for a little symbol of our love that we got to make with our own hands. 🥹 Another highlight was finally meeting my friend Kensie Stanton in person! We’d only ever hung out on Zoom (she had me on her podcast earlier this year), so when she visited Bali I took her on one of my weekly hikes through the rice fields in Ubud’s backcountry. Three hours of walking and talking later, it felt like we’d known each other for years! And I almost kidnapped this snuggly dog below to give my pup Scruffy a new sibling. 😂 Work-wise, I spent October building a new quiz called How Much Have You Outgrown Your Business? I made it because of something I keep seeing with the people I work with. People rarely outgrow their whole business. Usually it’s just some parts that don’t fit anymore. The quiz looks at four areas of your business (your work, your identity, your life and capacity, and what success means to you). You’ll see what still fits and is worth protecting, and what doesn’t reflect who you’re becoming anymore. It’s been a real labour of love and I’m so happy it’s finally live. Take the quiz here to see what still fits in your business and what you’ve outgrown. 😊 I hope you had a beautiful month! -Lydia Here are two ways to get started, depending on where you’re at. If you already know you’ve outgrown parts of your business and you’re ready to create your second act inside the business you already have, that’s exactly what I help people do 1:1. I just rewrote my Work With Me page, so it’s the best place to see what that looks like now.
If something feels off in your business, but you can’t quite name it yet, start with the quiz. I’ll send you a short video afterwards to help you make sense of your results.
⭐ On Building A Life & Business You Love In midlife, Leanne wanted to work differently, but her coaching was so high-touch that changing it felt impossible. This is how she built her next chapter of work beyond one-on-one sessions. 🤔 Maybe You Don’t Have a Positioning Problem Rewriting your website again? Sometimes the problem isn’t the words. It’s that you’re trying to find better ways to describe work you’ve already outgrown. → Find out what’s really going on 🔄 Outgrowing Work You’re Good At For over a decade, I helped people escape their corporate careers. This is the story of how I outgrew that work, and why being good at something doesn’t mean you owe it the rest of your working life. 💡 Ideas Sparker

My monthly newsletter sent at the end of every month, to stay connected and inspire reflection for creating meaningful work and a purpose-driven business. Hi Reader, I'm writing to you from Pemuteran, up on Bali's northwest coast, where I've been the last few days for a friend's birthday. Getting here took a few hours of driving through parts of the island I don't visit often, and even after living in Bali for as long as I have, there are still these pockets of it that feel completely...
My monthly newsletter sent at the end of every month, to stay connected and inspire reflection for creating meaningful work and a purpose-driven business. A backcountry Bali hike that led to these beautiful marigolds 🌼 🤩 Hi Reader, August in Bali is our "winter" in the tropics, which means I've actually been able to spend a lot of days outdoors without melting into a pool of sweat. I've been spending a lot of time hiking and having walking dates with friends to soak up the cool days and...
My monthly newsletter sent at the end of every month, to stay connected and inspire reflection for creating meaningful work and a purpose-driven business. First things first - I had to get my butt into my favourite rock cave spa after being on airplanes and different beds on my one month trip away. Being back in Bali always gives me a sense of ease and comfort. Hi Reader, July was a month of really good people. After spending a month in Europe last month and meeting new lifelong friends in...
